Integrated quality management

SIAG stands for optimised and continuous quality throughout the entire production process.

In the steel construction and plant engineering sectors, particularly in the field of wind energy technology, high quality is the solid foundation for long service life and ease of installation on site. This is ensured and continuously improved by our quality management team. SIAG's quality management activities reflect its customer centric approach.

  

Each plant has its own quality managers who, together with specialized engineers and quality management employees, implement our quality management system and provide for process control and monitoring. Both EN 3834 and DIN 18800-7 have been integrated into SIAG's workflow. An additional SCC audit has been introduced in the areas concerned, so that we can work for complex and highly sensitive power plant projects.

The process chain is subjected to continuous end-to-end testing and monitoring. Advanced and monitored measuring instruments are used to assess the quality of everything, from incoming goods to order picking and dispatch so that product quality can be checked and documented.

Defects are handled and remedied in accordance with the quality management system guidelines. Tests and documentation ensure that final quality complies with our requirements, thereby helping to avoid issues at the installation site. This approach cuts costs which might otherwise result from construction times and service works due to poor quality. Altogether, the customers get a finished product in line with their specifications, including all required documents.

As part of our continuous improvement of quality management, we constantly strive to swiftly implement requirements, such as legal or other directives, as well as customers' constraints.

Moreover, we are committed to improving our management system in terms of ecological and labour safety aspects and to making these concerns an integral part of our policy.

In order to optimize and harmonize SIAG's quality management, this function has recently been centralized within the company.
