Having more than 20,000 visitors as well as 1,400 exhibitors AWEA Windpower Conference & Exhibition 2010 has again been a great success.
SIAG Group participated in the biggest Wind Energy Exhibition in the USA for the first time.
This participation marked an important step for SIAG Group to expand and strengthen its position on the North American market. Many contacts and interesting talks with business partners and interested professional visitors were made. The mood among the visitors as well as the exhibitors was thoroughly positive.

„Made in Germany“ has been the motto of the German Pavilion, where SIAG participated besides other famous German companies. This motto fits to SIAG Group, SIAG Quality in accordance with German standards is delivered from all SIAG production sites worldwide. In the USA as well – SIAG Aerisyn LLC supplies tubular steel towers from the production site in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the North American wind energy market.

The exisiting wind energy development in the USA is only the beginning. The North American wind energy market will grow continuously in the next years. A rethinking in the minds has happened. The need to use renewable energies is understood and the acceptance towards the wind energy industry is high.
Offshore wind energy has also been a topic within the Windpower Conference. The foundation for projects in high seas is currently laid in North America. The first offshore wind energy project has been permitted. In Europe the expansion of offshore wind energy is considerably further advanced and will be increasingly focused by the energy policy. SIAG’s expansion of the product portfolio with the new business unit “Maritime Systems / Offshore” reflects this development. At the location of SIAG Nordseewerke GmbH in Emden the biggest production site for offshore wind energy components is currently established.
