SIAG CZ, s.r.o. celebrates a jubilee: production of the 2,000th mainframe

Dernbach, 21st April 2010 - SIAG CZ, Chrudim, celebrates an impressive production anniver-sary. On 12th April 2011 the completion of the 2,000th mainframe has been celebrated at the production site. 

SIAG CZ s.r.o. in Chrudim, Czech Republic, affiliate of SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG since the year 2000, employs about 200 staff and produces towers and components for the wind ener-gy industry as well as dynamically loadable welded steel constructions for mechanical engi-neering. Target markets for mechanical engineering are the mining industry and the produc-tion of heavy components. Just as in all other locations of SIAG, the production meets the German quality standards and our products are manufactured according to our customer’s requirements. With the newly built conservation hall the production site now has capacity for inter alia 500 segments with unit weights of up to 100 t as well as main frames and generator frames.

The jubilee main frame has a length of about 7.50 m, a width of about 3.50 m and a height of about 1.20 m as well as a unit weight of 12 t was handed over to the long standing German customer REpower Systems AG located in Hamburg in the course of a ceremony with cus-tomers, suppliers, local notabilities and SIAG employees. With great applause Mr. Gregor Eul as a representative of REpower placed the type plate on the mainframe type MM92. Pre-viously Mr. Eul addressed some words of thanks to the employees of SIAG and emphasized confidently that both companies will surely be working together successfully in the future.  


The importance of the SIAG production site as an economic factor for the municipal Chrudim is not only reduced to the role of being an employer and taxpayer, emphasized the Mayor Mr. Řezníček subsequently in his greetings. As supplier for the wind energy industry and part of renewable energies SIAG stands for sustainability and value creation especially for future generations in the region.   

The production of mainframes plays an important role for the definition of the production site in Chrudim. Therewith Mr. Henning Schmale, Managing Director of SIAG CZ, pointed out to the continuous development during an average of 10 years since foundation which was cha-racterized by the improvement of quality and production activity as well as the cooperation with our customers. During this period not only our product portfolio has been extended to tubular steel towers and components, but our production site as well has been expanded consequently with a new open-space paint spraying system in one of the latest conservation halls in the branch of wind energy suppliers.
