Dernbach, 13th May 2011 – Having more than 1,000 exhibitors on 27,000 sqm of exhibition space, the Windpower Conference & Exhibition 2011 is the biggest exhibition of the wind energy industry worldwide. Like in 2010 SIAG will participate again at the German Pavilion besides other well-known companies from Germany.

The AWEA Windpower Conference & Exhibition is the platform for decision makers of the wind energy industry. This applies not only to the North American market but also to the wind energy industry worldwide.
“Since August 2009 SIAG has its own production site – SIAG Aerisyn LLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee – in the USA. From this location we deliver tubular steel towers for the American wind energy market. In 2010 we participated in the Windpower Conference in Dallas / Texas for the first time. This exhibition is a good opportunity for us to present SIAG on the US mar-ket. Last year we had good conversations, gained new contacts and maintained our existing business relationships.“, comments Christian Adamczyk, Head of Marketing of SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG.
According to AWEA new capacity of 1,118 MW has been installed in the first quarter 2011 in the American wind energy market. Therefore the amount has been doubled compared to the previous year with a value of 541 MW in the first quarter. The American wind energy market clearly accelerates, further 5,600 MW are under construction in the second quarter 2011.
“The current development on the American wind energy market shows that after the bad re-sults in 2010 the upswing is in sight and the stage is set for the wind energy. The market potential is still not exhausted, for the next years we expect the American wind energy indus-try to grow even more.”, says Rüdiger Schaaf, CEO of SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG.
