SIAG Ruhland receives SCC- Audit

Safety, health and environment protection management is as important as quality management

March 2009 - SIAG Stahlbau Ruhland GmbH & Co. KG received the safety certification SCC and thereby sets the course for a cooperation between power plant producers and other internationally-active companies.

Since 1994 SIAG Stahlbau Ruhland GmbH & Co. KG is certified without interruption with ISO 9001 and holds the manufacturer’s qualification certificate of welding steel constructions according to DIN 18899 – 7:2002-09 (including the following engineer standards DIN 15 018 crane, DIN 4132 crane runway and Ril 804) as well as the certificate of concrete steel according to DIN 4099 – basis and warranty to maintaining high quality.

The Certification of security, health and environment management is at the same time a new and competitive aspect. The steel manufacturer from Ruhland met this important challenge by an audit in the beginning of 2009.

The certification body of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH issued the corresponding “SCC”- Certificate on February 23rd, 2009. SCC (Safety Checklist Contractors) is an international standard for safety, health and environment protection management for companies which act in productions sites of a client.

With this certificate, SIAG Stahlbau Ruhland GmbH & Co. KG undertakes itself to comply with the high requirements of job safety as well as health and environment protection. This certification is a precondition for internationally-active companies and therefore means a competitive advantage.
