SIAG Stahlbau Ruhland wins Salzgitter Stahlhandel Zeithain as a new customer

Dernbach, June 2009 – In the course of the relocation from Lauchhammer to Zeithain the company Stahlhandel Salzgitter Mannesmann instructed SIAG Stahlbau Ruhland GmbH & Co. KG with the design, production (including color conservation), delivery and assembling of a production and logistic hall for the pipe plant Süd I in Zeithain.

The project logistic hall (approx. 8 550 m² hall space) includes the whole roof and wall cladding, doors, gates and roof lights. Furthermore two outdoor crane runways (crane run over area approx. 11,400 m²) belong to the range of activities. During the whole project about 1800 tonnes of steel construction will be processed.
Currently the production and corrosion protection of the steel construction are executed in Ruhland.

Due to intensive crane movements in the whole area the crane runways and rails are exposed to heavy duty.  Therefore high demands are made on the production and the assembling.

The assembling will begin in calendar week 27. About 15 assemblers are involved so that the workings will be closed at the end of this year.
